A Good Night To Be Vince

The Del Ray Ballroom ~ 8th & R in the Haymarket
Doors Open at 8:30pm ~ Downbeat at 9pm
$10 in advance ~ $13 Day of Show
Friday, April 28, 2006

This was one of our favorite gigs of all time. It was Vince's birthday and his "Winnie The Pooh" opened that night at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. So we invited Derek Dibbern down to Lincoln again so he and Jon could open the show as Innerstate-80. They played a great first set. Then, right about 10pm, the band started playing the opening vamp for Maroon 5's "This Love" knowing Vince was due to arrive soon. Just as he walked through the door, his arrival was announced, he sat down at the piano and turned out an electric version of the song. It was a great entrance and kick started a great set by the VLP.
